The lovely village of Pitsidia has 600 inhabitants and is spread out over a large area and up against the side of a hill. Depending on where you are in the village you can have beautiful views of the sea, the Paximathia islands and enjoy the magnificent sunsets as the sun sets into the sea.
There are several small supermarkets, a bakery and butchery and numerous tavernas and coffee shops
. The village is a few 3 kilometres from the well known resort of Matala, but it a much quieter and relaxed place. The nearest beach is Kommos which is beautiful long sandy beach less than 1km away. Pitsidia is 3km from Matala from Kamilari.
The nearest large towns with all services are Timbaki or Mires both approximately 10kms away. It is about 65 kmss to the airport. There is quite a number of foreigners who have made Pitsidia their permanent or holiday home having fallen in love with the town and the way of life.
